Overview

Back again for 2024! The Arc will be offering a kid-friendly version of the Wildflower Pilgrimage for youth ages 6-10 years old and their families. The day-long program will begin at 10:00 am with a guided wildflower hike at the Appalachian Forest Museum. Participants will learn about the different parts of flowers and wildflower lifecycles while using their five senses to get in tune with the natural world. After the hike, we will return to the Forest Museum for a bring-your-own picnic lunch, followed by activities that will help reinforce lessons we learned earlier in the day about spring wildflowers and get us excited for the afternoon podcast with the “Nature Guys!”. Our participants will have the opportunity to join one of the founders, Bob Staggenborg in creating the very first show recorded at the Appalachian Forest Museum. Our day will end around 2:00pm and as a reminder children must be accompanied by an adult guardian throughout the entire program.

Cancellation Policy for Event Registration: In case of cancellation, refunds will be granted in full up through April 1, 2024. After that time, all payments are final and if not used, will be recorded as a tax-deductible donation to the Arc of Appalachia. Registrations are transferable. If you are transferring your registration to another party, please be sure to give us your recipient’s name and email.
