Women’s Yoga, Cave, Creek, and Woods time

Join Tracy Jo Duckworth as she will be hosting a healing women’s gatherings in the woods this year. Meet at the Appalachian Forest Museum for the indoor yoga class and bring your own picnic lunch before heading out for the beautiful trails at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary. Bring your female friends and family along as you restore your body, mind and spirit while immersed in nature! Make it a weekend trip and reserve a lodge today! Schedule of the day: Please arrive at 9:45am to ensure that we can stay on schedule and enjoy as much time together as possible!
10:00 am: Welcoming Circle
10:30 am: Multi-Level Yoga Class with Tracy Jo, CYT, LMT Please bring a yoga mat
12:00pm: Picnic lunch (Bring your own lunch and water bottle)
1:00 – 3:30pm: Hike to the recently reopened McKimmie’s Cave, one of the original seven caves. This easy cave walk provides an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for and understanding of a sensitive native ecosystem and a rare time to truly be held inside the Mother Earth.
Hike the Etawah Woods Trail to the Rocky Fork Creek: 1.2 miles – Loop keeps you on top of the 100 ft gorge with a spur that descends into the gorge, along the creek to the Three Sisters. We will continue our women’s time together with a ritual foot washing and cleansing.
3:30 pm: Closing Circle at the Museum
All the trails are gorgeous and awe-inspiring, but can be slippery when wet or leaf covered. Trails may be narrow and rock-covered with hillsides overlooking the gorge. It’s best to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring walking sticks. You never know what weather can bring, so please dress accordingly.

Tracy Jo Duckworth is a certified Hatha and Tantra Yoga Instructor, licensed massage therapist, aromatherapist, culinary instructor, workshop facilitator, consultant and right-brained girl who attempts to live creatively in the left-brained world of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is dedicated to improving the quality of people’s lives through food, yoga, aromatherapy and massage. She has been teaching yoga since 1996 and has been a licensed Medical Massage Therapist since 2003 and has led thousands of students into better health and a deeper understanding of yogic living, mantras and the chakra system. She is a long-time supporter of the Arc of Appalachia.
