Field Trip – Gods Country
Leader: Tim Pohlar
Tim Pohlar is a Project Lead for the Land Stewardship team and resides at Blackgum Woods with his wife Miriam and two daughters Rose and Quinn, ages 9 and 6. Tim has been with the Arc since 2004, where he started as an intern, learning his trees and nature studies from the many great naturalists before him. He has a passion for sharing the beauty of nature with others and stewarding our natural lands.
From Chillicothe: Follow Hwy 50 West. Turn left. One mile west of Rainsboro, turn left onto State Rt. 753 at the blinking yellow light. Follow OH 753 for 2.8 miles. The parking lot will be on your right.
From Hillsoboro: Follow Hwy 50 East. Turn right onto State Rt, 753 at the blinking yellow light. Follow OH 753 for 2.8 miles. The parking lot will be on your right.
Habitat Focus: Successional Forests & Mixed Mesic Wooded Slopes
Time & Meeting Place: We will park and meet at Sanctuary West parking lot at 10:00 am.
Bring: Be sure to pack a bottle of water and bring a day pack for your lunch which will be enjoyed along the trail. We recommend packing a piece of plastic to sit on in case the ground is wet.
Hike Difficulty: Easy and is approximately 2 miles
